Hi everyone!
I've been looking round this forum for a while now and thought that I'd get involved and introduce myself, I'm Jess and between my husband and kids I work on behalf of Tate & Lyle - its a busy life!
If anyone has any questions relating to all things sugar coated and wonderful then please let me know! Let me thank you in advance for welcoming me to the forum as it seems like a wonderful community. I
look forward to chatting with everyone!
Cheers! x

Yes, I love flapjacks too! :-)
I find this one works pretty well, I have another recipe too but, it all depends what sort of thing you like. Try this and let me know what you think.

Ingredients

75g (3oz) butter
100g (4oz) Tate & Lyle Light Brown Soft Sugar
60ml (2 rounded tbsp) Lyle's Golden Syrup
175g (6oz) rolled oats

Instructions

Grease a 20cm (8 inch) square baking tin and preheat the oven to 180 degrees C, 350 degrees F, gas mark 4.

Heat the butter, Tate & Lyle Light Brown Soft Sugar and Lyle's Golden Syrup in a saucepan until the butter has melted. Stir in the rolled oats. Press the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Cut into fingers whilst still warm then leave to finish cooling in the tin before turning out.
