Natural perfume

Anybody have any suggestions for perfume that is free from chemicals and fragrances. Maybe something homemade with essential oils?
I haven't worn perfume in about a year, and while I desire to stay away from chemicals, I still want to smell good and feel feminine

I like BPAL

Black Phoneix Alchemy Lab

You can buy "imp's ears" (samples) for $3. And the samples last a long time.

Also the forums there have swaps and lots of reviews on different scents.

From the site:

ETA: Is this the type of thing you're looking for? Or are you looking for homemade scents? If I was wrong in what you were asking for, I apologize!

Well that was an intersting site!
After looking around a bit I think that's what I was looking for, but to be honest I was a bit distracted by the website
I bought an essentials oils book planning on making my own with a mixture of essential oils. But the book isn't a plain & simple as I was hoping for.
Yesterday I was on sephora.com and I noticed that they sell "natural" perfume but you can't smell it online

I like Pacifica fragrances. I have the Mexican hot cocoa one and the Blood Orange one. They have them for sale at Whole Foods right now and the fruitier ones are at Sephora.

It's worth checking out Lush and their sister company www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.com They're a vegetarian company first and then a natural one (rather than the other way around) but I'm happy to buy from them- the makeup's nice too. (I wear B scent mostly, if you're curious.)

BPAL can be dangerously addictive. I know people who have tentatively clicked on the forums and suddenly found their bathrooms taken over with cosmetics- not that this is a bad thing, but you may wish to declutter and put some money aside before you click, y'know?

I have been looking for perfume with no chemicals -

I'm thinking about trying Vanillary, by Lush.

Ones I've tried and my opinions:

Pacifica solid perfumes: Mexican Cocoa and Malibu Lemon Blossom-great, portable, good scents, don't last to long

Aveda: not completely natural but my absolute favorite, bar none, nothing beats Aveda scent to my nose.

I've made my own with Rosemary and Mint and a tad lavender in a carrier oil, a la Aveda style. It's ok...

I've bought some on Etsy, FlameWorks (ginger essence and coconut lime verbena), but there are tons more sellers. Decent, good product, scent is nothing special to me though.

Thymes.com I bought Fig Leaf and Cassis, discontinued now but great smell. Though, I don't think they are completely all natural either, I lost the box, but when I bought it I thought that is was safer than conventional perfumes, which I won't wear.

I'm very sensitive to chemicals and can't wear conventional perfumes because they give me headaches but all these that I mentioned do not give me headaches.

I don't actually wear any perfume that often. Mostly I am scented from shampoos/conditioners and lotions and deodorant. But my favorite for a night out on the town or a sexy evening is Love by Aveda. *swooning*

it is very difficult to make a perfume with essential oils that sticks around. that's like the lost city for perfumers. but that is one of the joys of real perfume. it isnt supposed to interrupt the air around you, in a real perfume you should only be able to smell it if your close to the person, very physically close.

several of the big promoted as natural, companies that sell perfume use a ton of chemicals along with essential oils.

p.m. me if you have questions.

Sephora has Lavanila perfumes, which smell very nice. I tried one in the store and the fragrance seemed to stick for quite some time. I then bought the perfume, but it seemed that when I put it on, it just didn't stay- no idea why, but I have trouble holding fragrance, even if I layer it with lotion of the same fragrance. Must just be chemistry- as with anything, you need to try it and see how it works for you.
