I love felting things!

Does anyone else get a strange thrill from knitting and then felting things? For some reason I find it strangely satisfying. I knitted and am currently washing-machine felting an xmas stocking for my new baby niece, and I'll be honest... I love it.

I wish I could! I have a front-loader, and the swatch I tried felting came out a twisted mess I'm afraid to invest time in something bigger just to have it ruined.

I also have a front loader, you can felt in them but it just takes a looooong time. I was thinking about taking my stuff to my grandmas washing machine, but haven't yet. If you put the piece in a lingerie bag, it will hold its shape somewhat and when it's still wet you shape it to dry so you shouldn't have any twisted objects, I promise!

I love felting stuff too! I've have only ever felted slippers before, which is REALLY a lot of fun because you can get a custom fit. I have pictures of them on my blog.
