well water turning hair orangish

So the only thing that will really help (that I've found) is the salon stuff. A) it's expensive and B) I'd rather use something a little less chemically and more environmentally friendly. My daughter has very blonde hair and it's really turning orange! It hasn't affected my son (who is even more blonde) or my youngest daughter, but her hair is lt. brown. Any tips out there?? The orange comes from too much iron in the water. It turns everything orange, even the inside of the washer! And yes, we have an iron remover installed. Thanks!!

Only thing I can think of is that there are water filters out there that you can hook up to your shower, they remove practically everything. They are supposed to be good for you for all sorts of reasons. I have no idea what they cost, though. I know I found out before and I don't remember being totally blown away, so maybe they aren't too bad.

Maybe someone else has a better idea, though Like something more natural and gentle to take the iron out of her hair. I use lemon juice and salt for rust stains on clothes, maybe something like that?
