how much fruit do you eat?

How much fruit do you eat?

I used to eat fruit ALL THE TIME. In college, I would have probably 4 -5 servings per day? For a while there I calmed it down to 2 - 3. I eat more fruit in the summer, when peaches and berries and nectarines are in season. I made cranberry sauce and have been eating that in the mornings, or frozen raspberries, with oatmeal and yogurt. Or a cut up apple mixed in. I've stopped buying bananas, because I seem to only be eating one serving of fruit a day.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just on a vegetable kick right now!

I have really cut my fruit consumption down a lot lately, too. I think I finally managed to get my fat intake to a good level and I just don't feel like anything sweet anymore. I do love apples, though, and I usually eat one a day. I used to be big on green smoothies, but now I just want straight up green juice w/o fruit

I eat very little fruit in the winter. In the summer, I eat more fruit, but it still probably isn't 1-2 servings a day. (probably more like 6 one day 0 the next ).

I do eat tons of fresh veggies, so I'm not much worried, and I have been craving bananas and peanut butter. we finally have bananas but no peanut butter.

i generally eat 2 kiwis, 5 oz of viburnum opulus, one apple, one orange, 1-2 oz dried blackcurrant, 1 oz of dried grape and probably 1/2 pomegranate daily
i know it is much but i like it.

We eat a lot of fruit: several apples, citrus, and bananas a day, plus anything and everything in season, such as pomegranates. They're our go to snack and dessert. I'm planning on getting plants for those that can be grown indoors soon.

Fruit is probably the largest portion of my food budget. Dh, by far, eats the most. After every meal, he has at least 3 servings. So he's eating about 10 servings/day. The rest of us eat normal amounts - about 4 servings/day. Together we easily eat 20 - 30 servings/day on average. This time of the year, we go through about 10lbs. of apples, 12 pears, 3lbs. grapes (if on sale), several pomegranates, 3lbs. of bananas, and various other fruit in a single week. In the summertime, we go through a watermelon, 2 cantaloupe, several lbs. of peaches and berries, bananas and some grapes and other fruit. It's ridiculous and I've even had a discussion with dh about it. He is from Turkey, where fruit is the way to end all meals.

I may have 2-3 servings a day of fruit, and more if it is in seasonlike spring and berries, and apple picking and we just eat loads of apples. I used to limit fruit almost altogether when I was on an anticandida diet, but it made no difference. I have no more yeast infections and enjoy fruit with no problems.

I would say 2-3 servings per day here. I buy almost as much fresh fruit as I do veggies. I am trying to get better about buying what's in season and thus on sale, but I have a habit of just grabbing the same things my kids love.

We're trying to eat seasonally, so right now we're enjoying citrus! DH and I each typically eat 1 piece fruit per day. Surprisingly Jack is not a big fan of most fresh fruits. He'd rather have yoghurt it seems. Sometimes he'll eat applesauce, but not always.

Since it is winter, I only eat 1 banana a day, and that's in my breakfast smoothie. I have some apples at home that need to be eaten, and I'll probably do an apple crisp this weekend with them. Other than that, I'm not really attracted to winter fruit such as persimmons and citrus. I will buy some navel oranges as it gets more into spring time since they seem to be juicier at that time of the year. I will occasionally buy a pomegranate in the winter too. But we do a lot of fruit over the summer.

Not that much. I probably eat 0-1 serving per day. I just much prefer vegetables. I'll get on a grapefruit kick in the winter, and I'll eat one every day for a week or two. Then, I'll go for a while without one.

My kids probably eat 1-2 servings a day. A banana most days, an apple as a snack lots of days. Sometimes a cut up fruit at lunch.

In season, I probably eat four or five servings of fruit a day, and so do the rest of us here.

This time of year, maybe five times a week, and that's mostly home-frozen or home-canned fruits, or live-storage apples.

I typically eat 1 serving a day of whatever is in-season and cheap. If we don't have any fresh, it's home-canned or frozen. The kids eat two servings. We eat more veggies than fruit.

I eat usually one serving a day, an apple or a banana. I sporadically go on smoothie kicks where I drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast made from fruit and kefir, but haven't done that in a while now. Sometimes I eat fruit because it's on the verge - no one else in my house eats much at all.

Maybe 4-5 servings per week on average here this time of year? My kids eat 2-4 servings per day year round. In the summer I probably eat 2-3 servings per day. Right now it is mostly apples, pears and frozen berries. I love fruit in the summer and I actually do like the apples, etc...I just tend to gravitate towards more veggies in the winter.

Since going primal, I eat less than one serving/day. My boys eat about 2 to 3 servings/day.

Probably 4 per day in the summer with all the fresh berries and peaches, plus I was having green smoothies with a cup of fruit in them.

Now it's about 2 per day. I am on a kick of seasonal Asian pears from our farmer's market, they are SO sweet and good right now. I had never had them before this season as I thought because they were hard they were under ripe. I didn't realize they are supposed to be that way hehe.

As a PP mentioned, I have intestinal yeast overgrowth but I noticed no difference when cutting out fruit for awhile. My vitality feels better over all if I am eating fruit.

I usually have a serving with breakfast- half a grapefruit, 1/2 cup of applesauce, small bunch of grapes, etc. A few times a week I'll have some berries with lunch, but that's really all the fruit I eat, especially this time of year. During the summer I occasionally indulge in more, though.
