My Cavitat scan showed that I have 3 sites of cavitations out of the 6 teeth that I've had extracted. The procedure for cavitation surgery is expensive (about $1,300 per tooth), so I chose to get the most infected one cleaned out yesterday. My dentist used local anesthesia and cut into my gum and dug way down and drilled and yanked out the ligaments. This took several minutes to do and I was very stressed out. He had to give me a second injection of anesthesia because I was feeling it too much. My dentist said the cavitation site was about an inch big and they were going to send pieces of the ligaments and bone stuff he took out to a lab for a pathology test, but that would cost extra money so I said no thanks don't do that. I had intravenous vitamin C during this and I had to go back today to get some more. This is because the procedure releases lots of bacteria into my body and this eliminates the need for antibiotics and speeds of healing and strengthens my immune system. Anyway, even though I had anesthesia, the procedure was pretty terrifying. Then he stitched up my gum where he did the extraction. I got by without taking any pain meds. Although the pain had increased last night when I was trying to sleep and it was difficult to sleep. By the time I woke up this morning, pain had reduced dramatically.
