cosleeping with 3 year old and 10 month old

looking for ideas on how to make our family bed safe for my 3 year old son and 10 month old daughter, it is only me ( breastfeeding mama) in the bed with them..right now I have a bed rail up on the side my older child sleeps on and I put pillows in between me & him while I sleep holding the baby on her side ( if that makes sense) but I'm not comfortable with the set up and looking for other ideas to make things feel more secure, I am concerned about the 3 year old hitting into the baby since he moves around alot...but I don't want to push him out of the bed if he is not ready. do you have your bed on the floor, up against a wall? bedrails? pillows? thanks!

we have three kids and two adults in the bed. Our arrangement is bedrail-baby (6 weeks)-me-toddler(15 mo)-dh-preschooler(3 years)-bedrail

In your situation, i would put myself between them and get another bedrail, but i don't know your kids so that may not work for you I used to hate having my back to one of the kids, but I just had to get over it.
