You said she goes wtih you to LLL meetings, could she have heard it there but misunderstood? Like someone was talking about someone giving them a hard time about NIP and she took it to mean that you shouldn't nurse in public?

I don't think so. Most of the last few meetings she's been to we've talked about newborn issues or tandem nursing. I can't remember when we've last talked about nursing in public.

Well, in the end does it really matter if she heard it somewhere, or came to the idea on her own as an extention of an interest in privacy? Either way, she seems like she is trying out the idea to see how it fits in, which is not a bad thing. And she probably brought it up to you to get your input.
