fleece -- is this normal?

hi again!
i recently posted a question about stripping bum genius pocket diapers. i went ahead with scrubbing with dawn and hot washes. now they're dry and to test the repelling i put one under the faucet and let a little water run on it. the water just beads up. is this normal for fleece or does this indicate that i'm still having repelling? i'm getting so frustrated with these diapers...i thought with the money we put into them i wouldnt have to worry about a leaky baby!! thanks for any thoughts you have.

My bg had microsuede but if the h2o beaded up id say they r still repelling. Did u use a diper cream or is it detergent buildup causing it? Ive used dawn W/HOT h2o & just rubbed the fabric together. How long have u had them? Any additional info could help

Are you finding that the insert is wet after your little one wears it? Sometimes the water test with the faucet just doesn't produce the same direct force (with skin right up against the fleece) as your little one would. If all else fails, you could always use them as wraps ~ lay a prefold inside. Good luck!
