toddler is sick and breastfeeding an infant?

My 2year old is sick with some type of digestive bug (diarrhea). He has had it for about 5 weeks now and we are suspecting some sort of a aprasite like giardia because he drank soem water out of a puddle outside. He still nurses accasionally and of course our infant is nursing all the time. What type of preventative measures would you take to deter spreading the illness to the infant. As of right now I am washing my nipple with hydrogen peroxide and then water. But, I don't know if this kills everything?

Does your toddler breastfeed exclusively? Maybe you can pump for him/her and just breastfeed your younger one. Or you can rub coconut oil on your nipple instead since coconut oil is antibacterial and antiviral... you just need to be consistent when using coconut oil but it really works.
