Not expecting to have to deal with this, but last night got me thinking. If for some reason I was to have PTL issues, the one thing I fear about having to go in to L&D is how they'll treat me since I don't have "standard" prenatal care (though IMO the prenatal care I do UP'ing is far more accurate and more attentive than if I were seeing an OB, of even some midwives!!). Has any UP'er had to go in for PTL issues? How were you treated? Did you bring in your "home" records and everything (if you had them) and did that make any difference?
I guess I'm curious because while I've wondered the same thing about having to transfer at the birth, at least at the birth the pregnancy will be over and they don't have all that additional time to badger you about GETTING prenatal care, ya know?
