When to introduce second language? - Page 2

I don't know if I have an answer...I have two already, a daughter who has picked up a bit of spanish here and there from words I have used...My son on the other hand has better spanish pronunciation and uses more words in spanish...I worked as a translator and was able to bring him to work with me so I truly believe that he picked it up that way. But I am at a loss. I have seriously considered purchasing that muzzy video stuff to get them to speak, I am the last of my family to speak and be raised fully in the culture so it is very important to me and my DH....His family, on the other hand isnt' supportive and think that we are stunting them...WTF? Whatever...

Hi,

My kids (7 and 4 years old) are right now 3 lingual. They speak Polish, English and now Spanish. We are currently in Mexico. We have been here for 4 1/2 months and enrolled them in Mexican school, only Spanish. I am amazed as to how quickly they picked it up. If you want read on how we did it here is a link
