DuoGlider in Airport?

My kids and I are traveling this weekend and I wanted to bring the double stroller to hold DS and our bags through the airport. My only concern is that it may not fit through security screening because not all conveyors are the same size. Anybody want to weigh in on this, did you have a problem gate checking it?

We had no problems getting our duoglider through the conveyor and we gate-checked it without any issues

One time they refused to put my car seat through the conveyor so they took it aside and inspected it by hand. I would just give yourself enough time that if they need to pull you aside and do it by hand you won't be late.

Okay that's good to know about the wand, I didn't think of that. Definitely going to give myself plenty of time, with it being the holidays and all.

Thanks for the info!

My single stroller was too big to go thru the conveyor. It was CLEARLY to big to fit thru. They just pull it aside and manually scanned it with the wand. I had one stupid security guy tell me it HAD to go thru and argued with me. I just kept looking at him and saying "IT WON'T FIT!"

I have run out of patience this week so I certainly won't have any if security decides to tell me that. Hopefully there won't be any issues.

My husband worked TSA, and they regularly hand screen strollers, wheelchairs, etc. I'm sure it is different at each airport, but as long as it is not in a rush time, they will take you to the side and wand it down really quickly. If anyone gives you a hard time, ask calmly for a supervisor, and smile.
