Has anyone knit this pattern and how hard is it?

Okay so I have only knit one thing in my life and it was a soaker for dd. I am pg again and I have a knitting bug. I really like This one. Has anyone tried it or does anyone actually know how to read patterns and tell me if it is easy? Please help That is one of my fave soakers so should I give it a try?

Thank you

It looks pretty simple to me. Give it a shot!

No time like the present to start something new! You can always come back here and ask questions if you get stuck... Good Luck!

It looks pretty straightforward to me too. I say, go for it.

I made that and felt like it really took a long time. It was a bit monotonous. I also am not in love w/ the way it fits. Fine for the summer w/o clothes but pretty bulky for under pants.
How about the punk knitters soaker? One piece in the round, one size needles, worsted weight yarn. http://community.livejournal.com/pun...rs/110889.html

It does look nice and stretchy with all that garter and ribbing. It doesn't look difficult, either. The 'beading' threw me, but it looks like it's just an eyelet row to thread the drawstring through. Sport weight yarn is going to give you a thinnish soaker, though. I only ever used worsted for my soakers.

You know, I realized it's practically all garter, so sport weight is probably good. Garter is thicker. You just need more patience than I have. It probably wouldn't be hard to knit it in the round, especially if you don't have to do the ribbing decreases in the crotch that seem to be called for in one type of yarn but not the other. But I almost never try to adapting a pattern to be in the round unless it looks really easy, and I've been knitting for a long time.

I did that one, but made a few changes. I knit it in the round and picked up stitches around the leg openings and knit about an inch there also. It wound up not being enough stitches picked up - the legs are too tight anymore, but I don't have a problem with the fit. I really like the crotch ribbing because it keeps it pretty trim. I never put pants over wool though - they're too likely to wick.

ETA - Oh, and the lack of short rows make the fit a little odd - the front comes up higher than the back.

This was one of the first soakes I made. I used worsted weight yarn. Its very easy, works great and still fits my 23 lbs 2-year old.
