Looking for a home birth attendant in western NC

Do any of you ladies know any midwives who attend home births in western NC, specifically the Morganton area? I've been looking and can't find any info online. I also PM'd a couple people here but haven't heard back.

Thanks in advance for any info you might have.

You might want to ask in the Tribal Areas forums. I am in the Triangle, so no help, but I know someone is in the mountains, just can't remember who.

Btw we have the same EDD.

Thanks Ladies! I emailed birthtender, but haven't heard anything. I also emailed Dr Hayes, but he is going to be out of the country when I am due It's starting to look like I'll just have to hope my Doula can help make a hospital birth as natural and intervention free as possible.

I interviewed Kathleen Davies on the phone when I was first pregnant and she was very knowledgeable and kind. She is very experienced, and was recommended to me by my previous midwife. I believe she would travel as far as Morganton (She lives in Marshal I think). You would have to travel to her for prenatals though which would be a drive...
Good luck finding your dream situation!
