you can call me a grinch. . .

but I am never Christmas knitting again! I started in August and I'm still not done. Part of it is I just finished dh's socks - 7 st/inch in adult large - took forever. I need to have some fingerless gloves done by Sunday but don't have the yarn until tomorrow and should be casting on a washcloth right now but I just don't feel like it. I want to be working on my fun projects - fair isle hat for ds, playfood for dd, february lady for me. ACK! I haven't been able to make anything for dc since fall. (totally exaggerating, I've made them both a few hats)
Vent over.

My Christmas knitting rule from now on is TWO projects per season. Not one or two projects for everyone on my list.

I hear you. It is sucking up all of my time. I am almost finished with the yoke of FLS and it is fantastic and so much fun. You will love knitting it! But I did just take a break from holiday crafting to knit up some bella mittens- those are so fun and surprisingly very quick. I need to gather the motivation to finish up my moms hemlock ring- I am so bored with it though. Oh- and I need to work on some new hats and mittens for my tribe- DS lost his new hat and has been having to wear an awful one.

Check out this one I made for ds. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/feltfool/tobias
The book it's from is "hat heads". 50 easy colorwork hats, love it.

I have the bella patt printed, those are so cute. I'm onto the lace of fls, you're right, it is a really fun knit! And I got smart and am doing it in black so it should turn out to be my everyday sweater.

I just finished a pair of woolies and the tush part isn't big enough for a cloth diaper : ( I guess I need to buy a pattern made for cd's

Esaesa- such a great hat- I have not had the courage to knit colorwork yet. I am trying to get there. Anything one color is cake now- I should take up the challenge.

I think I want to knit sweet baby caps but in worsted on size 4s. I figure we have heads of all sizes- I can't really screw up the gauge too much.

Melissa- I love pickypants. they are so versitle. The first pair I made I used a pattern where you make them in two pieces- looked so much simpler- but then I had to seam and I hate seaming. And it only fit over a ridiculously trim diaper. pickypants rock.

I only committed to one Christmas knitting project, at least two months ago, and I still haven't started (socks). I hate having a deadline so I procrastinate and work on my own projects - knitting is only fun when I can do it on my terms
