I have no idea if this is in the right place... forgive me if I'm wrong!


I'm getting DH an itouch for Christmas but torn on what size I should get. There's no way he's going to have thousands of songs but he may (if he figures it out) put a movie or 2 on it at times. I think he mainly wants it for the games

Anyways, is 8gb "good enough" ??? I don't want to buy the smallest and then regret not spending the extra $100 on the 32gb! How much does the 8gb "really" hold?? They always advertise a certain amount of songs/vids/etc but it's never what they really say.

I just got the 8g one. I read quite a bit about it from different sources, the consensus seems to be to get the 8g one and spend the difference on songs and apps (or pocket the difference, obviously).

The apps really don't take that much room.

As for movies, you can fit 10 hours of video if you don't have any music on it.

Approx. 1,500 - 2,000 songs, varies by song size and bit rate.

1 gb = 1024 mb
5 mb = 1 song (approx)
1 gb = 205 songs (approx)
8 gb = 1638 songs
