Our sleeping arrangement has been as follows: DS (almost 8), DD (7 months), and our kitten sleep in my bed, and DH sleeps on the couch. Besides the lack of intimacy, which I miss, DH cannot put DD to sleep because she nurses to sleep. Because DS has had so many changes in his life recently (DH and DD are new within two years, we've also moved and begun homeschooling) he really wants to be near me at night. But that's still not the only issue.
He gets SO hyper. Like, talking and moving and just in general annoying the heck out of me. Mind you, I'm lying down by this point, trying to sleep, and he's bouncing all over, wanting a new drink, trying to talk to me, waking up his sister, and on and on. DH cannot put DS to bed, anywhere in the house, my bed, his bed, the couch, anywhere; we've tried that.
How do I calm DS, keep DD asleep, and get some good rest myself? Sorry if this is fragmented, I'm tired!
