Dh is DONE!!!

OMG I am so excited 6 years of stress and hell he's done done done.

Life is gonna be so weird without school always looming over our heads.

I am so proud of him he has his Masters he did it with all A's but one class. His Comp exam is over he passed it with the highest score of the year.

What comes next? How do we fit him back inot our routine? I know it sounds weird but Every evening from dinner till 12 or 1 am for the last 6 years he has had homework. He dissapered to his office and we went on with our day. I still find him sitting in his office I think he likes the peace and quiet. I want him to find a hobby not the computer.
Does everyone have trouble adjusting to the new routine once schools out? If so how do you make it easier on everyone?

WooHoo! That is seriously exciting! Do you have kids? My DH will be done with paramedic school this time next year - we are halfway there. Since I am organizing, planning type person, where are some of things I think will help us get DH back into our routine:

-make a plan for the time he is free that involves him
-sit down and re-distribute the household workload so that he gets some of the parenting tasks like baths or storytime
-take some time for yourself. Let him care for the kids while you go grocery shopping or take a hot bath
-start a project together so that he has something to focus on

So what is next? Does he have a job? Gonna start a home business? He may still needs some quiet alone time everyday, just don't be afraid to interupt it with a gentle "hey sweetie, I'm working on something out here. Would you come help when you get the chance?"
