Ok--I have always swaddled my babies and never had a problem weaning them off it but DS#3 wants nothing to do with weaning! This kid is almost 7 months old and he absolutely will not sleep more than 15 minutes unless he is tightly swaddled! Not only is it a pain to swaddle him each and every time I need him to sleep, but he is getting stronger and more active and breaks out of it easier each time. I have tried swaddling him with just one arm out and he quickly falls asleep but then wakes up screaming after 15 minutes. I don't let him scream, but I do let him fuss for awhile to see if he will go back to sleep and he never does. Is keeping him swaddled at this age hurting him developmentally? Do I just suck it up and deal with it until he is ready?
