help! sleeping arrangements after crawling begins

Hi everyone. Our dd who is 6 months old just started crawling. She's very mobile and fast! Plus she moves around so much when she sleeps sometimes I find her completely turned around and half-way down our bed. Right now she sleeps with us in a co-sleeper her papa built for her that looks pretty similar to this http://www.babybunk.com/whatis.htm or in between us on our bed.

My question is what do we do now that she is moving around so much for naps and overnight? I've already caught her once almost falling of the bed after I had put her down for the night in her co-sleeper. She had made it off the sleeper and down to the middle of the bed and was literally looking down with her arms hanging off the bed when I psychically decided to check on her! Thank Goodness!

We don't have space for a crib and I am opposed to them for other reasons as well. So, any suggestions? We don't want to stop co-sleeping but I'm not sure railings would work since she could probably fall over them... Am I right? What do other people do in the same situation? A low bed seems like such a lonely solution for her being so little still

Both of mine have always been in our bed, no cosleeper or crib. At that age I put them on the inside or put a pillow or rolled towel between them and the edge and I *always* slept touching them so I'd wake if they moved.

My babe isn't crawling yet, but she's tumbled herself off the bed already. Naptime, I put pillows on either side of the bed and check on her constantly. Nighttime, she is too busy snuggling closer...and closer...and closer...to me, that she doesn't fall off. This may change once she decides she wants to explore the world and figures out crawling.

Once we move in about a month, she will have her own room, and I plan on getting a mattress so she can have a floor bed. That way, she won't hurt herself if she gets off of it! I've experimented some with it now, and she never rolled off. Seemed she realized it was sleep time, not play time. Again, this may change when she becomes mobile

My 7 mo old rolls/army crawls around our bed too. And we are on a very hard wood floor with concrete beneath. We have mesh bed rails on both sides of the bed, and rolled up blankets on the bottom of the bed. I don't worry at night because we are so snuggled up that he won't go far, but I do worry at naptime. Many times I've come in when I've heard him babbling and found him at the bottom of the bed. I'm hoping to teach him to nap in his crib, though, so I don't have to worry so much and he can still co-sleep at night with us.

We put the mattress on the floor with ds. Not sure what we will do this time, as we have a platform bed.

I just put baby in the middle between mom and dad.

DS takes his naps on his mattress which is on the floor in his bedroom. At night he comes to bed with me. He doesn't always sleep touching me, but I always wake when he does. I also will put a pillow on one side of him and I'm on the other side. He stays pretty still when he's sleeping though, so we've never had an issue.
