Can someone please clarify for me

This is the list of vaccinations that my eldest daughter has received:

HepB (All 3 doses and doesn't need anymore)

Dtap (3 doses and not planning on getting anymore)

Hib (4 doses done with Hib series)

Pcv (4 does done with Pcv series)

Polio (3 doses, not sure to get a booster later)

I am not planning on letting her get any live virus vaccines such as chickenpox and MMR and never influenza shots.

Now I am counting the vaccines and they total 5. Should I really be calculating for each time she was vaccinated? Therefore meaning she got 17 vaccinations? or is it technically just 5? I know this may sound silly but just need clarification. Thanks!

It's 17, or 5 vaccines 17 injections. Then again, some of those injections are combo shots...

Yup. And the reason (or at least one of them) is the chemicals used in the vaccines. Just because it's a combo shot, doesn't mean the chemicals were diluted at all. They literally take three or four or however many shots they are combining and just combine them. It's really just to the baby gets one injection and not four at all once - which, yes, they still do; my neighbor actually told me they had a few nurses holding her baby down while four more each stuck a needle in his legs (two each side) at the same time. That was about a month ago.

So yes - the answer is 17.

Actually, If you do all the math...

HepB (All 3 doses ) 3 vaccines

Dtap (3 doses ) 9 vaccines

Hib (4 doses done with Hib series) 4 vaccines

Pcv (4 does done with Pcv series) if it wasd PCV7 28 vaccines

Polio (3 doses, not sure to get a booster later) 3 vaccines

I come up with 47
