If a poster asks a question about needing links to info or books that you've written about on your blog, can you link to your blog where the info is?

I'd love to be able to do this too, but I know I've gotten marks against me in the past for not understanding the rules - I'm 34...I know my weaknesses...directions and rules are in there...

No one cannot.

If they have specific questions you can answer them or paste a post from your blog if you wish but people cannot post that they discuss a certain issue on their blog.

One could also recommend they check out the blogging stickies in the MWG and there may be blogs like that there

What about stuff for homeschooling or crafts? I see links to blogs all the time, wehre someone says, "look what I made" or I just wrote about that...

If it's a non-commercial blog (no ads, no affiliate links, giveaways, etc) occasionally linking is fine. If it's a blog or website that makes money for the member, this is something we ask members not do in an effort to be fair to everyone and try and keep actual posts advertising-free.

If someone is linking to their non-commercial blog repeatedly with the appearance to drive traffic to it and it's brought to our attention or something that we notice, we ask them to share their information here at MDC to enrich our community rather than drive traffic to their personal site.

Advertising in discussion threads is strictly prohibited. Do not post to advertise your product, business, website or blog or in any other manner from which you would financially benefit.

Also we do have albums on MDC so if it is a big thing then someone can always upload the images here.
