Please help- in horrible pain

I am 41 wks 2 days. My dr. is very induction happy and I don't want to call him.

Last night I jogged/ran about 200 ft from my grandmothers front door to my backdoor (it was wet, middle of the night, scary) and I felt my baby move down lower but he's not in the center. It feels like he's crooked (which I had been having a lot of pain in my thigh from where he's been laying for weeks) and now he is pressing so hard on my thigh that I can hardly crawl into bed, put on a pair of pants, walk etc without being in horrible pain. I'm in so much pain I'm walking VERY slow and with a limp.
I've tried pelvic rocking, knee chest position and even crawling around my living room and I can't get the baby off that spot. (He's still kicking and such)
Has anyone had something like this happen? Do you know what I can do to fix it?

I would call; you do want to make sure that everything is all right. I can't imagine they'd just induce--I'm sure it would involve an NST.

I would try to find a chiropractor and/or acupuncturist, though. Here's a place to look for a chiropractor: http://icpa4kids.com/index.php. For pregnancy, look for someone who is Webster-certified. They are well-versed in gentle manipulations of pregnant women.

Good luck!

I'm so sorry you are in pain! Definitely call with your doctor to make sure nothing is wrong.

I agree - call if you haven't already. You could go for a u/s and nst and still refuse induction. Have you tried anything on spinningbabies.com? Considering the pain you're in, I would make sure everything's okay first, with you and babe, then think about trying some inversions (with help). You never know, there might be a reason why the baby is insisting on that position - knowing that would help you figure out how to proceed.

Keep us posted - I'll be thinking of you and sending healthy, pain-free, easy-birth vibes to you and your baby!!
