If you use or have used Tide on your diapers, please tell me which kind you think is best. I am going to probably give all of them a try but would like opinions. My stash is going to be prefolds, fitteds, covers, and all cotton AIOs, no microfleece.

I've used both regular Tide liquid, and Tide Free. I definitely prefer Tide Free, as the regular leaves a LOT of scent behind.

With any Tide product, because of the enzymes, you have to make sure you rinse EXTREMELY well, or your babe can get a burn like rash from the combination of pee and enzymes.

We used liquid tide regular I personally prefer the free as I don't like a lot of scent but for some odd reason our DD reacts horribly to any free and clear detergent (any brand) but not just regular we've never figured out that one.. She has a big senstivity to washing soda as well and we find the liquid detergents help curb that reaction over using powder as well.

I have been using the orginal powder and I'm getting a bit tired of it. My diapers have the scent of Tide now and I don't like it. I don't think I'm going to be using Tide anymore after I'm out of it.

Our clothes never small like the tide after they are washed (I always double rinse though) but the washer deffiently gives off that tide small while there in there... Makes me a bit queesy . I haven't found another detergent that cleans as well yet though... I'm planning on testing the arm an hammer next I used to use it a long time ago (pre kids) and really liked it but then I couldn't fin it and the fabric care line they had DD reacted to something fierce but the old formula seems to be avaiable again and its enzyme free...

I voted for the Tide liquid, although we actually use the Kirkland brand, which is a generic for Tide.

Tide Free liquid

I've been using Tide Free powder for about 4 months now and love it. I'd gone through all manner of detergents, starting with naturals through the Free & Clears. We had a ton of stinkies and I felt like I was constantly stripping diapers. So far the Tide has worked the best with our somewhat hard water. I have not had any stinkies in the time I've been using it. We've also managed to stay rash-free, which I was really worried about. Also, wow, my diapers get really crazy clean now (far less staining and sunning than before).

I voted for Original Liquid but I use Purex Free and Clear now. Tide just made everything too smelly. I like the Purex, it's easy to find and cheap and the diapers just smell clean.

tide original liquid. i was so so so skeptical in the beginning but i SWEAR to you that the ammonia stink has been gone for MONTHS when nothing else worked and the stains are gone. We are talking toddler poo stains that wouldn't even lighten in the sun. tide is fantastic. i dont' even want to know what's in it. it works. i just can't think abotu it beyond that.

We recently did a trial of Tide original liquid, and it was awful. I hate the smell, the diapers didn't seem to get super clean, AND he developed an awful rash that went away when we switched back to a natural detergent. So, beware of the possibilities that it's not the best solution (though I used it with my first CD'd babe and didn't mind it - an unscented powder) and watch for rashes.

I'm using Tide Free powder. I had huge problems w/ stinkies and diapers not getting clean, but have not had them since I switched to Tide Free.
