Do you iron your sheets?

Just wondering...

No. My grandmother does, but I can't imagine taking the time to do that. We usually end up changing our sheets twice a week. I just don't have extra time to do that.

Nope. I kind of thought it was a joke when I first heard people did this.

I don't iron anything. In fact, I bought some iron on transfer paper for the printer for a Yule craft and I'm not sure I even know where our iron is. I'm pretty sure I remember unpacking it when we moved in 7 years ago.

I don't iron anything except sewing projects.

What's an iron?
Why on earth would I iron SHEETS??? Yeah, the 100% cotton, non-flannel sheets tend to be a little wrinkly, but who cares? They're not so bad if you fold them neatly when they're hot out of the dryer.

I iron sewing projects. I occasionally iron a nice blouse. DD1 likes to iron her denim skirts. Sometimes we iron cloth napkins (to make the Shabbos table nicer.) But I can't even imagine how I could iron something as large as a sheet without the first half getting wrinkled before I was done!

Erm....no. I do use my iron frequently because I have to iron work clothes, but I can't even be bothered to make my bed...let alone iron sheets. Nobody sees the room but me and dh, and we don't care what the bed looks like.

Uh, my DH irons his own clothes for work - so, no. I don't iron sheets. Heck, I don't even always fold the sheets.

It depends on the sheets. most of my sheets do noto need ironing. Sure they are sort of wrinkled, but nothing major. My favorite pair of sheets are these ymmu, chocolate, 600tc sateen sheets. Those come out with the top band all funky twisted and the pillowcases are warped. I iron for less than 3 minutes just on the top band of the top sheets and the two pillowcases.

Heck no! Irons are for craft projects, silly!
Oh, and one more thing. I iron the tops and the pillowcases not because I think it looks better. It 100% because of how it feels. The twisted wonky top makes the sheet hard to grab to pull up while in bed, and the pillowcase doesn't completely cover the end of the pillows unless they are ironed.

It's totally not a how it looks thing. I never, 99% of the time, never, make the bed if that is any indication. It's only made the day I change the sheets!

I don't. I've really never understood why you'd iron sheets. I mean, no one really sees them? It's not like having a wrinkly blouse or whatever. I currently have a once a week housekeeper and she is huge on getting the sheets out of the dryer and folded right away because the wrinkles drive her nuts. (I have been instructed not to wash them myself as I leave them in the dryer and they get wrinkled.) She is a bit obsessive so I'd be willing to bet that she might be inclined to iron sheets at her own house.
Hell no.

However, it DOES bother me. I've tried the "wrinkle release" cycle but it doesn't help much.

My maid has never offered to do it so I assume it isn't very popular. Can you imagine how long it would take? I've got 5 beds!

Do line-dried sheets feel softer if they're ironed? That's the only reason I can think of. We have horrific environmental allergies here, so we only tumble-dry our bedding.

And, uh, no. I don't iron the sheets.
Not a chance.

I don't even make the bed most mornings - ironing the sheets would be pretty pointless here.

I know my paternal grandmother used to.
I feel fancy if the sheets actually make it onto the bed. Never mind ironing them.
I don't iron anything. Well, that's not true - I'll iron my dress shirt for job interviews and DH's suit shirt if we're going to a fancy event.

My mom used to iron sheets but I believe it's because they were dried on the line. It does help to soften them.

No. I don't iron anything. Ever. I honestly don't remember the last time I ironed something. Even my mother, who irons jeans, doesn't iron sheets.
