still a little out of it but have sleeping children so taking the minute to post this.

decided to post in VBAC since VBAC mamas need to see all the success stories they can! Quick background DS1 was a planed c/s due to a birth defect so i never even labored at all with him. Midwives unfortunately can't do VBACs here So i opted to homebirth it anyway rather then go to the hospital and all the likly interventions that would await me there.

Asher Birch Ezra Lemen was born dec 19th in a 'U'BAC at 8:45 pm

all in all it was about twenty four hours with the day before frequent cramping in my lower back. Following morning we played birth denial and had breakfast at dennys then headed over to our birthing location (DHs cousins house) which was kindly offered to us as they are gone for the holidays. Me and DS1 watched tv and hung out for a while and then i got him down for a nap around 4. During his nap contractions (all lower back yay for me) got worse and by the time he woke up i was ready for grandma to come get him. Shortly after DS! left "(about six or so) our friend came and so did the doula. I labored in the tub for a bit but i was getting to that point of needing to really make some noise (still all in my back) so i got out and kind of keeled leaning aginst the sofa while making a lot of noise. about 8 i really started bearing down. shortly afterthe bag of waters showed a bit and i decided after about 15 minutes of that to go ahead and pop it. After some more pushing Asher arrived on scene at 845 pm.

still figuring out the nursing but mama and baby are sore but doing well!

I was just thinking today that I never really got to hear the details of your birth story and I was about to ask you over on facebook for your birthstory when I realized that I could probably find it over here. I'm so happy that everything went so well. I love that you guys had breakfast at Denny's that morning. That place is epic and this just adds to the lore. I loved seeing little Asher the other day and I'm looking forward to seeing you and the fam when C. gets back to town.

Congrats again!!!
