Prefold with belt is not going to work once she's mobile...

...it already falls off sometimes (she's a big girl!). So I know once she is scooting or crawling, it won't work. But, we have plenty of misses - the number of ecapants we'd need to cover them would be just wayyy too expensive. So I'm looking at the Sassycloth - still adds up, but better. BUt how convenient will that be? I'm thinking we'd get the velcro-side ones - pull ups would be more awkward for changing misses (poop misses are extremely rare, but pee misses are common)...but I use the prefold & belt much like a ecapant - flip down the front, pee, flip it back up. Will we adapt to the velcro side sassycloth?

Or other suggestions?

TIA!

We used the pre-fold w/ belt and eca pants and it worked really great. We switched to sassy cloth and did not have a problem adjusting. They work breat w/ pants, dresses, baby legs, etc. I felt that the ecapants do not work well w/ pants. Right now the pull ups work really great bcs my dd is in underwear full time during the day but occasionally we will be in a situation that I feel more comfortable w/ her in a pull up (like tonight when we were at a light walk in the cold and didn't know where when I could pee her,etc (she stayed dry but i felt better) and when we were in front of the entire church lighting the advent candle w/ her fancy dress on, you get the idea). In those situations I just unvelcro the pull up and put it inside her underwear and then can pull up and down her underwear and pull up to give her a pottytunity if she wets it I can change it that way or just leave her in undies. It works great for us. I don't think you will have any problem adapting. We have the velcro sassycloth but if you can do snaps I think that would be better as they will probably last longer and sometimes the velcro gets hooked a little crooked and rubs her leg. We can't do snaps though (bcs dh has arthritis) so the velcro is just fine.

Do the velcro or snap-side sassycloth trainers also pull up and down? Sounds like it from what you're saying, and that would make it so much better than I thought!

I should clarify - at this point we're mostly just doing EC at home - she's actually in a disposable when we're out. I'm sort of hoping that moving on from prefold & belt will inspire me to do more EC out & about, but with deep winter kicking in here, I'm thinking that might not happen till spring.
