Pickypants, Doodlepants, Sheepypnats or Perfectionpants? Which do you prefer?

I would like to make at least one pair of longies for babe due in February. For all you who have knit at least one of these patterns, could you please help me decide which one to try? For soakers I've tried the Ribbywrap and Curlypurly.

I've knit Doodlepants, SheepyPants, and Perfection Pants. They are all nice patterns. Doodlepants is a very straightforward pattern with fewer details. The version I used lacked either a gusset or short rows, can't remember which. Perfection pants is a great pattern. More pictures, good explanation for getting the perfect fit, and easy to understand. My favorite is sheepy pants. Lots of pictures, lots of modifications, the BEST directions for short rows, and excellent pattern support. The gusset directions did give me trouble, but that was years ago, and it may be that the pattern's been updated. I believe it's also (last I checked) about half the price of the Perfection Pants pattern.

i love pickypants. Not cheap but awesome no thinking involved knitting.

I've knit all but the Perfection Pants. I like the Sheepy pants the best. Like the other poster said, Doodlepants lacks something. For me, I like the Sheepy Pants fit better, especially for newborns. It's a more snug fit than the Picky Pants. I figured my March baby would need the closeness of his woolies to keep him snug and warm. Now that he has tripled his birthweight in less than 9 mos, I like a wider pant leg for his ginormo thighs, calves and ankles.

I like Perfection pants over picky and doodle. I have not tried Sheepypants, but I have a friend that knits a variation of it and I love the fit.
