My eyeball is killing me. Yes it's true.

A couple of weeks ago I started having an irritating off and on eyeball twitch (ok, maybe it's the lid but you get the idea).. it has been coming more and more often and stays for longer periods of time. Yesterday I felt it never let up at ALL! The only reprieve I seem to get is when I am asleep.

It is so irritating. I am sure it is related to stress or something (finals were last week, I wohm full time and have 4 kiddos at home).

BUT WHAT THE HECK? And what am I supposed to do about it it is starting to affect my quality of life in a serious way.

Eyelid twitching is a sign of tiredness or a sign of too much caffeine

Go take a nap and stop relying on all that coffee to keep you awake!!

It's related to stress for me. But sometimes it takes on a life of it's own and almost just won't stop. I've had decent luck applying warm, wet washcloths to the eye while taking a hot, relaxing bath. It seems like once I can get them to stop escalating, then they'll just disappear for a while.

I actually avoid caffeine when pregnant (like from chocolate or tea) and don't drink coffee at all when pregnant. So I know it isn't that.

I had non stop eye twitching when I was first coming down with Bells Palsy. Most likely though it is just a stress thing. I hope it stops soon.

Would it be worth it to see the eye doctor? I get yearly exams and I have had the same exact prescription since I was about 14- but maybe there is some change that they could find? Seems unlikely though..

I do have seasonal allergies/asthma but there is SNOW on the ground everywhere.. I have used similasan drops before to ease eye irritation due to that stuff (soothing stuff!), I wonder if it might help for twitching? Although, I don't know if it is ok to use when pregnant..

I have been seeing a chiro and massage therapist as well for stress/realignment so I am not sure what else I can do in that dept..

ARG.

I get twitching whenever I've been on the computer (sometimes book reading) too long in a non correct posture, and stress will exacerbate that. I try to make sure my monitor is a little below eye level and take breaks to focus on something father away as often as I can remember.
