feels like my colon/ bowel is cramping - IBS? TMI?

I have been having... digestive problems. A week and a half ago I had a terrible few days of bad gas cramping, which turned into diarrhea with more discomfort and cramping. I finally had to go to the hospital, because it hurt so much and, although I knew the baby was fine and it wasn't labor, they wanted me to come in for monitoring. I had dreams for several nights about going into labor or getting my period. Ugh! I ended up taking an antibiotic and feeling 100% within a few hours, so I chalked it up to a bacterial thing. I felt normal and great for the rest of the week, with no gas cramps, no diarrhea, no constipation, not even any indigestion.
Then last night, I ate a very healthy dinner of quinoa and veggies (I am a little anemic and was trying to get enough iron). I took fiber for, I think, the first time since the previous week's incident - just a bit of high quality psyllium husk in water before bed. Fell asleep around midnight, woke up at 2am and went pee - and then proceeded to spend more of 2-7am on the can with terrible gas cramps and sort-of diarrhea. But (and I apologize for all of the TMI, but that seems to be how this pregnancy is going for me) not really diarrhea, it felt mostly like my colon or bowel or lower intestine or something was cramping continually. Like, instead of a sick feeling of diarrhea having to come out, it felt like my body was just spasming and cramping, trying to find something to expel. Horrible, horrible feeling. I pooped a ton of times all night, and never got that watery diarrhea, just lots of spasms and soft stools and... ugh.

I finally got back to sleep after a long night and taking some Benadryl. But I'm not sure if it was the fiber (and maybe the Cal/Mag supplement I take every night?) but normally that helps me keep things bulky and regular, and this was just inflamed and awful. Could I have IBS?

One of the things that was scaring me the most (besides just not knowing what was causing this, and not being able to relax those muscles or whatever they were) was realizing that it's perhaps THIS feeling that makes my normal periods so terrible and painful, not so much the uterine cramping. I definitely felt last night like I was suffering from bad bad menstrual cramps, yet knew I wasn't because my uterus is so big I could tell it was not the problem. So now I'm wondering - is there something wrong down there that is affected by hormones? And, I wonder if this means I will have a painful labor where everything is inflamed, instead of the painful but productive cervix opening and pushing I am envisioning?

Sorry for all of the information, I'm just frustrated, exhausted, in pain and not really sure where to start

I don't really have much advice except that a visit to a gastroenterologist might be in order. I have had horrible digestive problems this whole pregnancy too and am probably planning on doing some pretty extensive tests once baby is safely born. Just wanted to offer a and a hope that you are getting some relief and find some answers.
