Whipped cream from cream-top milk

My most recent bottle of cream-top milk (the unhomogenized kind, you know?) had a lot of cream. I put it aside in a little container, mixed with some of the milk. I'm wondering if I could make whipped cream out of it. Do I just mix it with milk to get it the right consistency before whipping it?

(I do know how to make whipped cream, by the way, so that's not the issue.)

No, you want it milk free in order to whip.
