Hi! My name is DeShanna from Delaware. I'm an unschooling mom to two wonderful children. Lucien 4 and Trinity 6. As of right now, we're stuck in the snow but it's melting which is good.
My husband and I have been together for eight years and have been adopting a lifestyle change in how we eat and discipline. We decided to get away from the same tatics our parents used on us and are using positive discipline which has come with a lot of ridicule and doubt.
I having some trouble right now with my 4 year old and find that being sick as I am right now, I'm losing my temper more quickly. I tend to be grumpy when congested and just plain not feeling well. I feel bad for it and apologized to the kids and we talked about things again, but he is just really acting out. I'm not sure if it's age, the fact that park day has been canceled due to snow boredom or all of the above. Either way, I'm not sure what to do.
I'm a full time college student online with the University of Phoenix and I'll be graduating with my degree in May. I'm also a SAHM with 16 lovely pets. I heard about this community online when googling what to do when positive discipline doesn't seem to work.
