Addendum to pregnancy no-no's

Thread Starter
I was reading through the pregnancy no-no's list and I was just wondering if there is, or if anyone observes, a time limit on some of these no-no's?

for example: I feel like a glass of wine at 9 weeks and a glass of wine at 34 weeks is a different glass of wine, in regards to where the baby is in development and how it may effect the baby.

OR,

if you get listeriosis later in pregnancy, is there the same chance of miscarriage or is it decreased?

I've never really been told much about food no-no's from my MW. I mostly picked them up from books so I haven;t really discussed this with anyone yet. Just curious, What do you think?

I find myself moving further and further from the food/drink no-no's as the pregnancy progresses.

I do think that the baby being further along developmentally plays a big role (like we all know that the most damage from alcohol occurs before you even know you're pregnant) and it's a hard knowledge to ignore. That's a horrible sentence, hopefully it makes sense.

I also think that it's slacking, for me at least. I've been limiting sugar and carbs for the last 30 weeks, everything's been fine so far, is it REALLY going to hurt me or babe if I eat 6 cookies in one sitting? No, probably not. So I'm going to do it, gosh darn it. And so I do.
