Snoring Baby, Worried Mom

Thread Starter
DD (5 1/2 mo) woke me up snoring this morning and was also snoring yesterday during her nap. While she can be a noisy breather, this is unusual for her and she doesn't have a cold so I am a little worried and really worried about her napping on her own today, like maybe she'll stop breathing or something. I am not usually a worrywart so I am not sure why I am so freaked out but can someone tell me if I should be worried? Should I call the ped today or wait until her 6 month visit?

I hate to see a question go unanswered.

It's probably nothing but, I'd give the ped a call. It can't hurt and that's what you're paying them for.

It's probably a stuffy noise draining back into the throat instead of out the front where you can see it. And, then the mucous gathers in the back of the throat and rattles. Can baby sleep on their side, stomach or more upright (like on a shoulder) somehow? That might help.

Good luck
