Pocket Fairy Suggestions after my bad Magic Cabin purchase

My original thread was removed so here it is again...

I bought some pocket fairies from magic cabin that at least were partially paid by a gift card. They were almost 30.00 for a set of six in cluding the shipping. I had gotten them because dd was always asking for them and I thought she'd leave the porcelain fairies alone.

I am really unhappy at what they are now that I have them. first of all the package was almost all catalog and return papers (another 7.00 if I want to retutn them). And the fairies are pretty tiny and made in China of okay construction.

I had been thinking of buying from MC for some time but I think next time I'll go with a smaller company with more handmade items or at least smaller productions.

Since the post was deleted I lost the suggestion from Etsy so anyone who knows where I can find them in Etsy please let me know.

Your dd is almost 3, correct? At that age, I'd send the fairies back and write a not to MC explaining why you will not be purchasing from them again. I don't really like MC much myself, nor Hearth Song. I mean, I prefer them to Toys R Us, but I still have had some issues with price/quality. I don't know where to find them on etsy, but you could do an etsy search for "Waldorf pocket fairies" or something and probably find something similar. Also, other suggestions (all online): Three Sisters Toys, Nova Natural, Blueberry Forest.

Try A Toy Garden. I don't know if they have anything that's exactly what you ordered, but it's worth a shot. They do have a ton of pocket-sized gnomes. My son has a few and loves them.

IMO it seems MC has gone really downhill lately. I think they got bought by a bigger company and it seems like they have started pushing whatever they think Waldorf/NFL types might be interested in, but it's watering down what MC used to mean. I do like the actual photos of the products, but it's not even fun to flip through the catalogue like it used to be.

I've decided to try to return them. I called them the other day when I was still trying to decide what to do as far as keep or return. I complained that one of the fairies had torn wings. They told me they could replace them or just the one. I opted at that point to replace just the one since I didn't have another stocking stuffer. I didn't look closely at the rest until that night when I was putting them the tree but I then noticed that another one was torn as well!!! I decided to leave them there to see how dd reacted to them before deciding whether to return them or not. She is not interested in them so I'm going to simply return them and will take my business elsewhere.

I'm super disappointed overall with the purchase. Even the catalogs as a pp said, have changed. Maybe they used to be great but there are so many other companies I'd rather send my busines to

There are kits, I believe, to make your own, which might be much nicer.
