Our creche has a plastic Mary, Joseph, Jesus, and a little manger for Jesus. I sometimes let DS play with it.
He was playing with it while I put the baby down for a nap. When I came back, he had made a little bed out of a pair of DD's pants and had Mary and Joseph sleeping on the bed....with Jesus in between them.
He said, "Baby Jesus needs to sleep with his Mommy."
Of course, Mary rode to the stable on a zebra, so I'm not sure about his sense of historical accuracy.
