I had my first baby 5 weeks ago with a fairly easy labor and delivery. I was experiencing cramping while nursing after which I was told is normal for a couple of days. As time went on, the cramps were getting more severe. At times the pain resembled that of kidney stones. Mostly the pain is around my belly button region and above both hips. At first the cramps were only when nursing and not every time I nursed. Now they are happening randomly regardless of whether or not I am nursing. With these cramps has come an upset stomach and loss of appetite. The loss of appetite mostly due to the fact that when I am cramping food does not still well in my stomach and eventually finds it way out! As of now my midwife has done 2 exams and has indicated that I am healing well and my uterus is back to normal size. I have had 3 sonograms, one which indicated there was some residual fluid. Since then I was on an antibiotic and the fluid is now completely gone. It seems to me that they are stumped and have ordered yet another sonogram for Monday. Can anyone help???
