Hello All,
Choices in Childbirth is working with a local NYC newspaper on a story about the rising section rates in the city.
The reporter is hoping to interview a woman who had a c-section in the last 4-6 months where the surgery wasn't obviously medically necessary - either she chose it or her doctor recommended it.
Ideally I would love for the reporter to talk with someone who made the decision to have a section then became more educated after the fact and could talk about how much she wishes she'd know then what she knows now.
One of the points that we're trying to get across is that women are
not being fully informed about their options and that they're often making
medical decisions without fully understanding the risks involved to
themselves and their babies.
If you can recommend a woman that fits this description, please send her my way! elan@choicesinchildbirth.org
The story is supposed to run on Sunday so the sooner the better!
I know, tough with the holidays!
But so important to get this info out!
