Green Poop in the PM?

Ok, I don't know what is going on, but for the last week, DS is getting green poop in the afternoon and evening.

He is 10 weeks old and up until now only had occasional green poop. Morning color is great...mustardy in color (I can't believe I'm actually writing this!). But, come the afternoon, it's green.

He's never been the best nurser. He pretty much only nurses on one side at a time. I let him finish when he is done. Then, at the next nursing, I switch sides.

Is it always a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance that causes the color to be green? Should I be doing something else during the day? Block feed? Twice on one side?

Any advice would be appreciated!

My babe is 9 weeks old and we just went through a green poop phase. I was worried and did all the research. Yes, it can be an imbalance, or a virus, or maybe a variation of normal for your baby. Maybe a phase, maybe a long phase.

Right now, we are transitioning back to mustardy yellow. The green poo lasted about 2 weeks. We asked my ped. (Even showed her b/c baby had a dirty diaper in her office that produced the perfect specimen.)

Our ped asked us if she seemed fussier than usual, etc. (Not really). She basically suggested trying block feeding if we thought it was an imbalance. Otherwise since the weight gain was fine, just keep on going and don't worry. Incidentally, like many other issues, the "solution" is just to keep nursing her lots. If it were a virus that is all we would do.

So, just keep up the good work mama!
