Klonopin while BF???

I am still nursing my 29 month old - I have great anxiety about flying, but need to do so in January. When I spoke to my internist about the possibility of taking Klonopin for flights (I have taken it before successfully) she said that it is completely incompatible w/ BF - if I remember correctly, she essentially told me not to nurse for 48 hrs, or something like that - I think she is not a huge BF fan anyway - I ended up doing w/ out on my last trip, and did okay - but was very uncomfortable, and I am afraid of panicking this next time around - I would like to be able to know it's there, if I need it.
so - does anyone have experience w/ taking this drug on an occasional basis for anxiety/panic and breast feeding???
thanks!

And if you do a search on this forum for Klonopin, there's a few other threads with the same question. Most answers say that while it passes through the milk, Hale and others state that it's normally okay to continue to BF while on it.

According to Hale, it's L3, I took it for a week or so whilst breastfeeding, my baby was sleeping through the night at the time and I was taking it at bedtime for sleep. So my biggest worry would be caring for the baby having taken it, not the affect it would have on the baby.

I would be able to nurse him before I took it at around noon that day, and then he could wait again till the next morning to nurse again (my dp could put him down for the night)... So I don't know exactly how drowsy it might make me, but I won't be on my own caring for him.
