lop-sided belly at 16 weeks??

I have noticed that over the last week belly growth spurt I seem to be distinctly bigger on the left side than the right. When I lay in bed is when I can best feel the bump (the flubber falls away) and it's def biggest at about the 10:00 to 11:00 point an inch from my belly button, and even lower down it seems to slope down towards the right side. I noticed a couple of nights ago and have checked in the AM yesterday (same) and after sleeping on my right last night and after going to the bathroom (#2) this morn to see if anything would make any diff and nothing seems to. Is this normal? It's been about 2 weeks since I saw my baby doc and she didn't notice anything strange then, but I've grown quite a bit.

Mine is lopsided, but not as much as you're describing.
I've noticed it for some time now, but nobody else seems to notice. The top right side is bigger than the left.

Mine is lopsided too, I noticed it after my last pregnancy. I don't know if I'm right, but I thought it had to do with muscular seperation, like snapped ab muscles? does that make sense?

I have no idea! I know my husband can tell a bit (not so much about the slope but def about the bump mostly on one side). This is my first and I'm not that big yet it seems weird that muscle separation could be the cause in my case... maybe when you've already had one or two..?

Mine is also lopsided, sticking out more on the right than the left. When pregnant with DS, that side always seemed to stick out more, too. :-)

Well, as long as it's not only me, I guess

totally normal to be lop-sided!

a fertilized egg will typically implant on one side of the uterus. growth of the baby and hormonal changes of the uterus causes the side the baby is implanted in to be bigger than the other side.

your belly will even out soon. don't worry!

eta: actually, an "uneven" uterus can be another probable sign of pregnancy upon internal exam.

Great!
That bump is also where I often feel things that could be movement (or gas!)
