SSC for a short torso

Apparently I have a short torso. I tried the Ergo for my 10 week old and it just seemed like it was too long for my front. With the insert in there I couldn't put my head down as DS was too tall!! I'm 5'2" and never thought this would be a problem!

We love our Moby but want something a little easier to put on. Tried the ring sling and DS hates it. Bought a Baby K'Tan but may return it. I'm not sure I like how he just kind of hangs in there.

Any recommendations for a shorty like me? At this rate, I'm going to be spending more in shipping costs than for a new carrier!

Well, I have the opposite problem - very long torso - so maybe my thoughts will be all wrong.

By 10 weeks, you probably don't need the infant insert in an Ergo. I never used on in fact and carried ds every day from 2 weeks - 18 months in it. Just froggied his legs under, and later did one in one out, and eventually both out. That might give you more room. Also, as they get bigger and sit heavier, they pull the carrier out and away and the whole thing comes up shorter if that makes sense.

In any carrier, it sounds like you'l outgrow the front carry sooner rather than later because eventually they'll just take up too much space. How about a Mai Tai? You can do a variety of positions in front, and also start with back carries right away.

A petite Calyx would probably work well

Lots of petite mamas find the Ergo to big and bulky. Maybe try an AngelPack LX? The body isn't really shorter than an Ergo, but lots of petite mamas like it. You can read reviews on The Babywearer and see what people have said. The Beco is also similar in size and shape to an AngelPack, although I've never tried one personally. Maybe one of these will fit better since you won't need the Ergo insert.
