Kozy Head Flop

Hi, I have a Kozy Mei Tai and when I wear DS on my back, his head flops way over when he falls asleep. He can't fit any more snugly deep inside the Kozy and the head rest doesn't support him anymore, so how can I keep his head from flopping over? Any ideas or suggestions for what you do for your lo's?

TIA!

How old is he? Are his arms in or out when he head flops? What I did with my dd when she fell asleep on my back in the Kozy was to bend over, untie the top straps and bring them out and around so that her arms were in, bounce a little, and retie. That way she'd be a bit deeper in the carrier and her head would pretty much fall towards me. She usually stayed asleep during this maneuver.

You might also look into one of the universal sleep hoods that are available now although I haven't tried one in a back carry with a MT, so I don't know how it would work.

I never even thought to re-tie! DS (13 months) fell asleep a moment ago on my back carry and I just got a chance to try it now. His arms were out as usual so I had to tuck it in. It worked! Great! Thanks a lot!

also, make sure that when you do tie (or retie) that you pull the straps up and bounce the baby down deep, pull baby's knees up above his bum, then pull the straps up and bounce again. at that age he should still have plenty of snuggle room in there if he's snugged down in there and his arms are inside.
