I found a brand that seems pure. What do you think:

The issues with CLO are generally

1) if heavy metal tested
2) soy for vit E/preservative
3) artificially deodorized which removes natural vit A
4) synthetic vit A replaced
5) taste
6) cost

I don't know about any of those issues related to that brand. I couldn't locate the information on the site.

The maker seems to have two different sites. Here is the USA one and the ingredients are CLO, Vit A, D, and E, which I would not be interested in.
http://www2.sevenseasusa.com/codliveroilliquid.aspx
http://www2.sevenseasusa.com/ingredients.aspx#cloliquid

But the one I posted a link for is for the same company and lable but from the UK. On this site it says the only ingredients are CLO:
http://www.codliveroil.co.uk/productRange/pure/clo.htm

BUT WAIT:
Says it is free of Gluten, Wheat, Gelatin, Lactose, Dairy, Yeast, Soya, Tree Nut, Peanut, Artificial Colours, Artificial Sweetener, Artificial Flavours, Artificial Preservatives
http://www.seven-seas.com/products/s...l-liquid-170ml
... but it does have added nutrients. Why oh why do they have to be so misleading on their website.

I don't know what "pure" means...I might write to WAPF to ask about it. They are pretty good about getting back to you on things like this. (I've found their input helpful in the past...)

Good luck!

Is heavy metal tested.

Has vit E derived from soy.

I understand that it is artificially deodorized with synthetic vit A replaced.

There are old press releases from 2007 that there are *no* synthetic vitamins. But, I believe there have been processing changes in all CLO since that time (earlier this year, iirc).

NN FAQ: http://www.nordicnaturals.com/en/Retailers/FAQs/263/

The taste and cost are approachable, imo.

WAPF recommends Nordic Naturals Vitamin D Cod Liver Oil(NOT Nordic Naturals Regular Cod Liver Oil) as a "good" brand. http://www.westonaprice.org/Cod-Live...endations.html

ETA: we took NN peach flavored for years. Now we use the fermented CLO and dh uses the Carlson's capsules.
