4 week old vomiting

My 4 week old daughter has been vomiting lately, and its becoming more frequent. She doesnt seem to be in a ton of pain from it but it does bother her. She also spits up quite a bit. Any suggestions on what it could be or how I can help her?

DS spits up and projectile vomits quite a bit. Tips I've learned:

1. Burp frequently during feedings
2. Diaper change before feeding
3. Keep baby upright for at least 15 min after feeding
4. Don't jostle, bend, move around too much while holding baby after feeding
5. Less is more! DS doesn't know his limit, he'll eat till he pukes, so I've learned to try everything else before offering him the breast for soothing- walking, shushing, change of scenery, etc. Frequent feeding = frequent puking.

HTH! DD never spit up, so this is all new to me too!!

when my guys were small, I feel like a lot of the pukeys were due to air, just like with spitup. does it all smell the same?

my dd was a very spitty baby. All the reletives were afraid to hold her, because she puked on just about everyone. Cutting daiy and caffeine from my diet helped some.

Just chiming in to say my 5 week old DS is the same exact way. I wish I could put him in a bouncy seat for 15 minutes after feeding him, but he simply will NOT be set down. So I have to carry or wear him at all times, and with three older kids, sitting still isn't even kind of an option. I can't nurse him lying down at night either, or it all just comes gushing back all over us and the bed. I have to sit up to nurse him, burp him for a good long time, he spits up and/or vomits while burping, and then set him in a spare car seat to sleep so the milk stays down. I don't really mind, it's the only time I'm not holding him, but even semi-upright sitting stock-still he still throws everything back up occasionally. He is miserable pretty much all the time, we actually put him on Zantac which seems to help a little but not much. And all I can smell is sour puked milk everywhere. No fun.
