Didn't Nicki become part of the Henrickson family when Barb was being treated for cancer? Maybe JJ expects Nicki to come back to his family to take care of his wife now.

I really can't stand Ben. I liked his character a whole lot more when he was sleeping with his girlfriend. Now he's so self-righteous and smarmy all the time.

I still hope that Nicki runs off with the lawyer (?) she was falling for. I loved watching that side of her. She was happy.

I kind of like Ben's new role, but not with the Margene/Ben plot.

I was wondering if JJ's wife was flaking being ill, too.

OH MY WORD. Did anyone watch?? I just finished it online. I can't believe the Adaline storyline and how intertwined JJ is becoming in the season! I also can't belive that it's almost halfway over! I really wish these were 20+ episode seasons like on network tv.

OK, Did anyone else notice the discrepancy in the amount of wives JJ has? Remember last epi, when Caroline and Nikki were fighting at that benefit, and Caroline screams,"I have 7 mothers, and your not one of them!". However, last night JJ was talking to alby and he said something about being fortunate to have three wives back in Kansas, and the one thats with him at Juniper creek? thats four. What happened to the other three? Are they all mysteriously coming down with cancer and dying? If so, Adeline is in BIG TROUBLE!

And I need to watch over again, because I wasnt following what it is JJ is trying to bribe Joey with. Can anyone enlighten me?

I noticed that when the previews for the next week look REALLY good, the epi ends up being kinda dull and weak. So since the previews for next week look a little dull, perhaps the epi will be a scorcher like two weeks ago.

Here is what I keep thinking this season: For someone who claims to be so in tune to what "Heavenly Father" wants him to do, doesn't Bill seem to be neglecting to notice that there are a million "signs" that maybe this whole politics thing is not really good for the family and everyone in his life?

The Margine and Ben plot line is driving me crazy. I don't like it one bit.

I think Sarah is going to end up pregnant again soon.

I cannot believe that Bill's flat-topped friend (Don?) took the entire fall for the extra wives on payroll. Everyone makes sacrifices for Bill but all he does is use them.

And why was it okay for Nicki to go covert in the opponent's campaign office for Bill but it was so horrible when she worked in the DA's office for her parents?

I don't like Bill anymore. I used to think that he was a good family man, but he's become something really awful.

I think this season will end with two out of three wives leaving. How many more episodes?

I screamed at the tv last night. Dp was laughing at me but, my word, I was angry with Bill! To have Don take the bullet? WTH? And then to be so heartless with Ben? Wow. That was awful, just awful.

They totally saved the Ben/Margene thing for me, though. That part where she admits to him that it was her, and he gets the cocoa down for her? That was so well done. I hope against hope that that's the end of it for them. Bill needs to learn to deal with his son as a grown man at this point. Bill is so sorely neglecting his family and he's going to start losing members and connections if he doesn't wise up soon.

JJ is so dang creepy! That conversation between JJ and Alby gave me the willies! I do think Adaleen will use this in some way. I have a lot of faith in Adaleen.

JoDeen letting the birds go cracked me up and sort of freaked me out. Is she supposed to be pregnant?

And I really really like Alby this season, it is really nice seeing him in a caring relationship with someone, he almost seems normal for once.

I think Sarah will get pregnant again soon too.

And the JJ thing! Oh I think I shared Nikki's horror over him and her mom. What is he up to?

AND I just thought of something. If JJ marries Adeline, then that would make him Caroline's dad AND stepgrandfather, wouldn't it? WEIRD.

Bill is really dissapointing me (and Bill Paxton as an actor as well. Ive never been inpressed with him until Big Love. he really seemed to have polished his skills. But now, he seems to have totally reverted back to his BILL roll from Twister). I couldnt believe that Don caved so quickly! But my husband did point out that they set us up for that with that meeting Don and Bill had a few scenes earlier. But that scene with Ben, OMG. That was HEARTLESS, JUST HEARTLESS!

My husband totally called JoDeen letting the birds out. I did not see that coming. . I feel really bad for her. poor girl is all alone and married to FRANK. Thats more like hell on earth if you ask me.

You know, I was thinking the same thing about Bill Paxton the actor. I had been really enjoying him, but his recent cadence in his scenes really bugs me. I mean, it may be purposeful. It felt like, even in that scene where Ben is in the pool, it felt like Bill was giving a speech. He had all these "meaningful" pauses and just a made-for-tv melody to his voice. It was like he was trying to hit all his talking points with Benny. It broke my heart, actually, almost as much as the scene where Benny is packing. Bill is obviously not actually concerned with his son, just wants everything to take care of itself so he can run his campaign.

The one big problem with having this many people in the marriage is WAY too many story lines. I wish they would pick like two story lines and do them REALLY well, because right now everything seems rushed and annoying.

I did not enjoy this episode, which sucks cuz I LOVE this show. I really hope they get back on track with the good stuff.

Bill was kicked off the compound when he was a teenager, right? So how can he tell his own son that he needs to leave? Maybe he really *is* the prophet.

My gut feeling is that they are going to bring the story line around to this. He'll realize that he misunderstood "Heavenly Father's" purpose for him, and come to the conclusion that he is actually the prophet.

I've always seen Bill as a struggling family man willing to do whatever it took to take care of his family.

However, after this last show, he has lost all credibility for me. He's just out for himself and he won't hesitate to step on anyone to get what he wants. And he used his "heavenly father's" purpose as his excuse for inexcusable behavior. I'm not liking him one bit

I'm really hoping something dramatic and humbling happens to bring him back to reality.

ITA with what everyone else is saying--totally irritated by this episode. One bright spot I thought was Scott and Sarah's relationship. I'm not a Scott fan but I appreciated that he stood up to her parents and the whole "we don't have that kind of marriage" line was great.

Please explain this line of thinking for me, because I am just not following.

The only thing I got from Bill more or less asking Ben to leave, is that he did it in a much nicer way then Frank did to him years before. And atleast waited until Ben was 18, Not 15. But that he has basically come almost full circle, and is no better then his disgusting father.

My take on it was that Bill was modeling the kind of behavior from the compound that he said he hated...removing competing males once they reach the age of maturity. Less competition for the wives.

By telling Ben to go, he was following the tenets of the principle that Roman supported. He is capable of being just like Roman.

Ohhhh, I get it! You didn't exactly mean Prophet in a "good" way. Just prophet in the "Juniper Creek" way. Makes sense now.

I felt like it was modeling to Bill and Barb what marriage should be more like (IMHO). But 've lost all sympathy for Bill as he is just becoming a politician through and through.
