I can never figure out where all the children are during all this. Even Joey Jr, where the heck was he?

I rewatched it with my husband last night (he missed it sunday) and he saw the suicide coming during the scene with Dale and the "pastor" or whatever those church guys were.

Anyone notice Barb is the only one who hasnt "cheated" yet? And how about that little tidbit that Margene ended up pregnant BEFORE they were married? NICE BILL!

And sorry, but the Greenes drive me crazy with their gun toting and intimidation. SOOOO FREAKING CHEEZY.

I don't think she was referring to Margene being pregnant but rather that she had slept with Bill before they were married. I remember an episode awhile back where Margene had implied that it had happened and Nicki was horrified at the concept--I'm sure Nicki wouldn't have missed her possibly getting pregnant before they were married.

I must have missed something, when did Nicki and Margene sleep with someone else? And who was it?

I put quotes around the word CHEAT, because some might consider the emotional affairs margene (Ben) and nikki (DA) had to be cheating.

Ah, I didn't miss anything then. But, I can see that some (like Bill) conciders Nicki's thing cheating. But not really Margenes. That wasn't even an emotional affair imo.

I can't stand the Lois and Frank characters...I think they are just as creepy as JJ and all the other weirdos.

I completely found it gross to be walking around outside with shrimp cocktail...yuck...it's not a hot dog or a taco...it is cold fish...yuck...but maybe that is my pregnancy talking...it did make me gag

I am intrigued by the greenes taking over...but not sure why they are taking hostages...maybe I am slow...I know they are on their turf but I need more info...I am feeling like I forgot something.

I love Margene and do think she will eventually leave.

I wish they would get rid of the Greenes, Frank, anything to do with murder or other super-highly illegal stuff, and focus more on the family dynamics, and maybe some on the casino since I am liking that part a bit. The Ana storyline could go both ways for me, but I really wish they went back to the family part of the show more... including showing the kids. WHERE ARE THEY ALL THE TIME? lol

I finally got to watch this week's episode last night.

Holy cow, Nikki's legs are a mile long!

So she rushes in and saves her daughter but then hops in the SUV to go look at the new "Big House" without her. WTH? Your crazy family is trying to marry off your teenage daughter and you just leave her at home alone?

I see Ana-fiance trouble brewing...

I totally didn't get Nicki dressing like that when she showed up at the hotel.

Does anyone know how many episodes are left? I'm wanting to cancel cable but I might as well wait until it's done if we're getting close.

There is only a total of 9 epis this season. Sucky, but it means we are getting close.

And I took Nikki dressing like that as a slap in the face to her mother/religion.

Not only was it a slap in the face to her mother, but it happened right after she yelled at Margene about how she never had a childhood or a young womanhood. I think she was trying to take some of that lost experience back. I think between Nikki seeing what's going on with her daughter and watching Margene really blossom, Nikki is finally realizing how much she missed out on, and it's starting to devestate her.

quick question: what did it mean when JJ was asking Alby to marry adaleen in the previous episode, "will it be for time, or eternity?" and he said "time". Are there different levels of marriage/commitment?

I felt sick for Alby's wife finding out about the affair, and that Dale's wife presumably did, too, with Alby's wife visiting her at the end

I'm not LDS but have a few friends who are. LDS believe in eternal marriage--you will be married to your spouse on Earth and in heaven. That's where the concept of "sealing" comes into play. You are sealed to your spouse in a special ceremony and I believe children born into the family go through a ceremony to seal to their parents. I'm sure there's probably more info on this over in the spirituality subforum.

Previous LDSer here. If she had said eternity she would no longer be married to the prophet. Women can only be married to one man for eternity. Men can be married to multiple women.

For example my Mom divorced my dad and they had to do a temple divorce so they were no longer sealed. If she wants to remarry in the temple she had to do that so she can be sealed to her new husband. My dad however can be married to multiple women for eternity.

Here was my take on Nicki's outfit:

I think that she was trying to dress the way she would have dressed at 14 (I think it was 14?) had she been "normal" and not FLDS. I felt like she was trying to show what she would have looked like on the day that she feels that a huge part of her died. I think she was mourning her lost childhood as well as trying to get back at her mother.

On that note, when she burst into the right room and Caralynn exclaimed "Help me, mama!" I nearly cried. I don't know why but I found that moment so touching.

I'm glad it wasn't only me! What was it that made that moment so charged? Was it Caralynn's voice? How she said it so desperately? How vulnerable she sounded? Was it that she called Nicki "mama"? Was it the moments leading up to it, in which Nicki had to relive the very worst day of her life over again and Chloe Sevigney just NAILED the trauma of the whole thing?

I don't know but I do know that Nicki is kickin' ass and takin' names this season and I FREAKING LOVE IT!
