DS usually nurses 4 times a day. Yesterday he only nursed twice very quickly. And today he has only nursed once briefly this morning. He doesn't drink any other milk than breastmilk, and I can't pump anything to give him.
I wondered if I should go see a lactation consultant? I hoped my supply wasn't dwindling too low. I've had hyperthyroid postpartum and am still underweight, so I wondered if that effects my supply. I haven't been able to pump since DS was a few months old.
DS latches on for a few seconds and then pops off and points to the other nipple. He tries that once, and he only latches on for a few seconds and pops off and points to the other nipple. We switch a few times and then he wants down. It takes him 6 to 8 sucks to swallow some milk, I'm not sure if that's ok or not.
