Well I am done. I am excited. The gown is gone, the pictures are gone and the rings are gone. The memories are fading. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Things are going really well for me.

I am sorry that I am not updating often enough.

In a week I will be making my final payment on Hospital B.

Thanks to a very generous friend, I should own my BiPap machine in a couple of weeks as well as a belated birthday present. I hesitate to accept such a gift, but this person is my best friend, like, the best friend that I have ever had. I am very grateful to have such a good friend in my life.

So that is two more bills down.

After that I will only have two to go.

One more bill paid off today. Now I just have three more to go.

You've got it going on! WOOT!

And it's OK to accept a gift from a friend. Just because a gift is of a financial nature, it doesn't make it any different. You have a friend who cares about you and would like to see some good in your life, and see's this as something that they can do for a friend. I think it is wonderful to have such a caring and generous friend in your life. I'm happy for you.

Shheeeeet, Bunny. You're amazing. I don't think I'll ever be able to default on a loan after this thread. Not that I was considering it. But a lot of people do. Makes it easy to justify that. But you are doing it, lady.

I have something really super exciting that I want to say, but I am afraid that once I say it out loud *or type it, so to speak* that I will somehow curse it.

You are on such a good streak I doubt that you'd curse it. But when you are ready we'll be here to be excited with you! Heck, I'm excited just knowing there is something that exciting for you to be excited about! How exciting is that?!

Yeah, so I am terrible about updating.

I don't want to spill too many details.. but I will say that my life is 100% different from what it was this time last year. I am very happy. Blissfully happy. And that is all I am going to share for the moment.

Hey,
I haven't read the whole thread, but I wanted to give you a big hug! You are making your life better, and that's awesome! Ignore the people who make fun of you if you go out for a run or a walk, keep your music on, or books on cd, and know that YOU ROCK!

Hey bunnyflakes! This is a really inspiring thread. I'm happy for you.

Even just the title is going to stick with me, "Babysteps for a better life" I feel like I personally have a long way to go to get to a better place.\ and so it's important that I think in baby steps --- and remember how far you've come

Thanks everyone. Okay, I will share.

For starters, I am paying off my bills like crazy. I have only two left. About $300 on the line of credit I needed when I left STBX and about $1500 for the surgery I had. I am still putting all of my money towards this, so it is going quickly.

I got yet another raise at work and I love my job.

I have made some friends. It is nice to have girlfriends to hang out with. I go to the gym about 4 times a week with one friend. My work has a gym to use for free, so that is helpful to me!

I am not going to divorce court until the end of September, so no one get too excited. I do not have a boyfriend. I do have a really, super good friend though, that maybe one day can become more than a friend.

Yes, so, I am just happy right now.

You deserve to be happy! And not just because of specific accomplishments but because you have set your mind to it and are working towards it. Good for you. Honestly, whenever I read this I think, dang... I gotta get off my butt. :yay
